Product Overview

The evolutionary Liquid-Surge Stabilizer ("L-SS") is the culmination of all previous industry developments and comes from a hands-on understanding of the concept.

  • The L-SS design rapidly locks together in assembly without any fasteners, clips or other elements;
  • It does not flex into submission under load;
  • The L-SS, formed of three interlocking rings, creates a hollow core spherical device with 12 flow restriction ports around each ring (36 flow restriction ports in total); and
  • Its strong control characteristics and integral unit strength delivers liquid surge stabilization.

Specification/Guidelines

To determine the approximate number of L-SS1900 or L-SS1575 units required, use control factors of 13.5 or 9.5 respectively; simply divide the US gallon requirement by the recommended control factor.

For example, a 1,000 US gallon tank would require approximately:

L-SS1900 - 74 units (1,000 / 13.5); or L-SS1575 - 105 units (1,000 / 9.5).

Alternatively, this option may be used in a 16" manway where:

1. A percentage of L-SS1900 units are assembled inside the tank; and
2. The remaining percentage of L-SS1575 units are assembled outside and simply placed through the 16" manway.

For example, using 90% L-SS1900 and 10% L-SS1575, a 1,000 US gallon tank would require approximately:

L-SS1900 - 67 units ((1,000 * 90%) / 13.5); and
L-SS1575 - 10 units ((1,000 * 10%) / 9.5).

The benefit to this option is a reduction in the number of L-SS units and assembly time.

Note : The above examples are meant as general guidelines; the control factor may vary depending on tank shape and design.

Installation Guidelines

Once the tank is packed full with the L-SS, the following procedure is recommended:

Fill the tank two thirds full and drive around for ten or fifteen minutes; this process is very important in that it enables the L-SS to properly settle;

  • Visually inspect the inside of the tank to determine whether additional L-SS units are required ;
  • This will provide an accurate calculation as to the exact number of L-SS required; and
We also recommend speaking with ourselves or your customer on a weekly basis for the first month to ensure the L-SS system has completely settled.

Benefits / Competitive Advantages

Advanced design

Evolutionary industry advancement - more control area plus thirty six control ports

Fast to Assemble

Customer's average: 20-35 seconds per L-SS vs.3-6 minutes on old design product

Simply Interlocking

No fasteners, clips or tools so no cracked straps, broken bolts or setting clips

Superior Strength

Best Performance - Cannot collapse, deform, nest inside themselves or pop apart

Sized to Fit

Properly fit your manway and tank - 20" & 16" models correctly stabilize surge

Reliable Control Numbers

Conservatively stated control quantity per stabilizer (some suppliers use overstated figure to give false impression of a lower price - also produces underbaffling)

No Liquid Entrapment

Clean line design for full draining with no cupping or entrapment

Low Cost Shipping

Ship flat for lowest price shipping anywhere in North America

EASY STEP-BY-STEP ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS

For 20 & 16 models of Liquid-Surge Stabilizer (L-SS), Assembly requires only the L-SS rings

No other parts needed
No tools required
Simple process of snapping 3 rings together.
After assembling a few units you should be able to complete an L-SS in approximately 20-40 seconds.

Gloves are recommended for hand protection during assembly.
(Any and all other safety equipment and/or procedures your company mandates must be followed in the assembly and installation of L-SS systems.)

Use slot patterns to identify the 3
Liquid-Surge Stabilizer (L-SS) rings

Stand all outside ring vertically.
Slide the two inside / two outside
ring over it.

Slide an inside slot into an outside slot.

Push opposite side of ring down until
remaining two slots engage and lock.

Stand the assembled section upright.
(intersections at bottom and top)

Place the all inside ring over the
assembled section.

Squeeze two halves of the assembled section,
slightly together.

Place them in two of the slots on the all
inside
ring.

Position the assembled section and slightly
bend the all inside ring to allow easy
interlocking of the first pair of slots.

Position the assembled section and slightly
bend the all inside ring to allow easy
interlocking of the first pair of slots.

Position the assembled section and slightly
bend the all inside ring to allow easy
interlocking of the first pair of slots.

Now take one of the assembled section halves,
bend it slightly and slide its slot towards the
slot on the all inside ring.

Continue this until slots interlock.

Take the remaining unlocked part of
the assembled section and pull it
towards the remaining slot on the
all inside ring.
Again note the bend.

Continue until slots interlock.

Liquid-Surge Stabilizer is assembled.
